My lowkey shipping continues even with Eleanor in the party now. I know I’ve said it on Twitter and Plurk, but I lowkey ship RokuVel. The second I was able to look around I was like “Wait a minute….this looks familiar….” I also felt like the little segment of the Earthpulse we got to explore was recycled Temporal Crossroads from Xillia. Mmmmm yeah, that’s all my thoughts I think. Just flooded with a river and much greener. I’m betting based on the shapes of the cliffs and the general map layout that Brigid Ravine is what Westronbolt Gorge used to be. So both Yvolg and Zesty’s Earth shrines could’ve been equal in use/purpose.Īlso as I play and go to new areas, I keep trying to figure out where I am in relation to wherever it is on Glenwood. Or maybe that’s it right there and there was just multiple different temples/shrines around built to the Lords. Kind of like how we know the shrines in Zestiria were designated trial shrines, but not actually where the Lords were kept or properly worshipped. But what exactly is Yvolg? Is it an old trial shrine for earth, or is it the old worship shrine for Eumacia? I know it’s a shrine TO Eumacia, I’m just curious about what the purpose of it is. I recognized the style of the arch here as being similar to designs found in Lefay. Speaking of the Temperance, I love that I could tell that immediately about Yvolg Ruins before Eizen even said anything about it because: Cuz I KNEW it was too architecturally different from the trial shrines and thus probably not from the Temperance, so the fact it’s actually 1,000 years old by Zestiria’s time makes sense. So I guess what we see of the Throne in Berseria is all of what can be constituted as “the original shrine”.īut still, I feel like they must have planned for the mini-shrines, because there’s clear space for one of them, and the other two spots you can get to would see like they formed the frame of those mini-shrines….Īlso, I like that I was at least somewhat right about the age of the shrine. There were no doors to the inside….does that suggest that there IS no inside? I recall postulating that the forward parts of the Throne were later additions due to the presence of Maotelus’ symbol in there, which makes sense. I know they talk about it being under construction in Berseria, so I wonder if the mini-shrines on the complex weren’t yet built or if those came later after Maotelus formed. So like it was suggested in Zestiria, the Throne was originally Inni’s shrine. I’M SO HAPPY I GOT TO SEE THE THRONE WHILE IT WAS WHOLE IT’S SO BEAUTIFUL TOO BAD IT WAS NIGHT SO I COULDN’T SEE IT ALL BUT YEAH. Some thoughts and choice screencaps below the cut. Today’s playthrough got me past the halfway point, I think? I have Eleanor in my party now, if that’s any indication.
